Sheriff Thomas Hansen retired from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in August 2015 with 20 years of service. He is also a retired Master Sergeant from the WV Air National Guard. He honorably served his nation as a MP in the US Army and volunteers his time as the commander of Jackson Perks American Legion Post 71.
