ROTARY CLUB OF
SHEPHERDSTOWN

Team Rotary and Shepherd University - Relay for Life

TeamRotary(2).jpgFor the 3rd year in a row, the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown will participate in Shepherd University’s Relay for Life through 'Team Rotary'.  This year’s event will occur Friday-Saturday, April 16-17.

Relay for Life is an American Cancer Society event that celebrates the lives of people who have battled cancer, remembers the loved ones lost, and fights back against the disease.  Shepherd University's goal this year is to raise $80,000.  Team Rotary is aiming to contribute at least $1,000 towards the University's goal.

How can you help?  You can participate as a walker on our team.  You can make a tax-deductible donation to the American Cancer Society in support of our team’s goal, and you can join us at 4:00 that day in front of the Shepherdstown Sweet Shop Bakery to hold the Rotary Club banner and cheer the survivors as they carry the torch down German Street to kick off the event.

A document outlining the the 2010 schedule for walkers over the course of the 24-hour event is posted here. Participant details are included as well.  Relay for Life 2010 Schedule.pdf
